The Imperial Intelligence Agency

Structure

The IIA is led by two positions firstly the Director, the leader of the organization, responsible for setting strategic goals, planning, and overall leadership. Under that position is the deputy-director with similar powers and operational responsibility however the deputy-director is at all times required to be entirely nameless and untraceable.
The organization is split into divisions based on goals and required skillsets
Intelligence and Counterintelligence: The most basic but also most vital role of the organization, responsible for overall information and deception tasks. Their agents are known as intelites.
Field Operations: The most directly applicable from the perspective of the average citizen. The field operation division works closely with the other intelligence and propaganda agencies of the Empire to ensure the interest of the Empire is carried out throughout its lands. When ghost stories of nobles and peasants alike disappearing in the night are heard the field operations division is the first group that comes to mind. Their agents are called daggers.
Communications: When magical spying, scrying, and other divination are at play they careful deliverance of critical information is crucial. Lead powder, non-detection, counterscrying and other methods or deceiving divination are the forefront of this division. Their agents are diviners.

Culture

The IIA is feared among most Eltree citizens, even those who believe wholeheartedly in the Imperial message. It is well known that the IIA has little patience for any who go against global and Imperial interests. The IIA is known to disregard direct orders from superiors if it means weakening the Imperial position, they are even quick to replace nobles who are too comfortable in their stations should they threaten Imperial competence.
