Demonics

Evil, marauding Demonics seek to corrupt the multiverse and feed off of it's inhabitants' energy. They usually take the form of black, semi-transparent creatures. They oppose the Creator and Writer but are kept at bay by the Protector and so can’t enter the Halls. They are supposedly led by the previous Protector, who turned against the other Elders in a previous, abandoned universe. They are very prominent in the Duagmyr island, where they have a camp and home.
They are divided into a tier system from Minor, Lesser, Major and Great demonics, growing in power on each tier.

Abilities

Demonics have an ability to “jump” between worlds, through the Void, so they don’t need to use Gates. They can steal the life force energy from a recently dead creature to grow in power, and they can manipulate their form to change their shape and appearance.

Genetics and Reproduction

New members of the species aren’t created in the usual way but instead humanoids that get lost in the Void are transformed into them.

Growth Rate & Stages

Demonics grow in power through absorbing the energy of a dead humanoid or creature. When they have amassed enough of this energy they undergo a horrifying transformation into the next tier, but it becomes increasingly difficult to advance the higher the tier gets, requiring more and more energy.
