Elves
Creatures of intelligence and beauty, Elves are a graceful and magical species originally from the Wildlands. They are known for their art, craftsmanship and wisdom. They are divided into Wood Elves, Dark Elves, and High Elves (who are divided further into Sun and Moon Elves).
Wood Elves
The Wood Elves are tribal hunters, living in the South Wildlands. They usually stay away from civilisation, though there are some small cities in the South. They are known for moving at unnatural speeds and their keen senses. They hate the High elves' way of life and the relationship between the two races has slowly deteriorated over time, and many citizens of both the North and the South fear war.High Elves
High Elves reside in the North Wildlands, separated from the Wood Elves by the Wild Mountains. They are typically the more intelligent of the elves, and prefer to devote their time to art and magic. The High Elves are divided into Moon and High Elves. The Moon Elves have Blue or Grey skin and blue eyes and are typically friendly and kind towards others. The Sun Elves have golden-coloured skin and eyes, and are usually reclusive, aggressive and feel superior over others. High Elves are closer to the Elder Gods than most species, and watched closely by them.Drow/Dark Elves
The dark elves are usually viewed as evil, marauding demon-worshippers, exiled to the island of Duagmyr in 2493 because they worshipped Demonics, spirits of evil magic that want to corrupt the universe. They are hated and shunned by other elves and species. They have black hair and purple skin. Most of their civilisation is underground, prerering the darkness deep below ground to the surface, and as a result have evolved to live in dark areas, but they also developed sunlight sensitivity.Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves can only reproduce once every century or so, which is one of the reasons they remain so rare.

An elf's long lifespan contributes towards a higher level of intelligence than short-lived species like Humans, as well as natural wisdom.
Civilization and Culture
History
The elves were supposedly created by the Wild Gods that rule over their home world - a ki-rin named Quinorin, a gold dragon named Elxidor, and a Phoenix, Siloris. Originally a unified species, in 3139 trouble arose over differing views on how they should run the society - some wanted a civilised, advancing civilisation with a Council of Elders, and the others a tribal civilisation ruled by a single leader. To avoid a war, they broke into the North and South. The Northern Elves became High Elves, and the Southern Wood Elves.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Stereotypically, elves are often seen as viewing themselves as above Humans and the other humanoid species, though this is often not true for wood elves and moon elves. The latter are generally close allies with Humans, but the aggressive Sun Elves have been known to ruin this delicate relationship.
