Ranghir

The world of Ranghir is home to the Dwarves, a subterranean species known for smithing, crafting and mining. Underground caverns stretch across the world, and this is the species' main home.

People

Dwarves have always lived deep inside the mountains and caverns of their rocky world. They aren't really accustomed to live on the surface, and find it an uncomfortable place to be. They are short and sturdy, weighing about 150 lbs on average but only about 4'4". They are typically quite wary of other species, especially when inside their own home, but kind and trustworthy once they know you. They were once united under a High King, chosen from one of the seven clans, but the final king, Kalmath Tharimm, outraged some of the dwarf clans with his incompetence. The clans split and went separate ways, and there is tense relations between them. The seven clan's names are Heldarath, Garuhm, Fuldur, Van Ohlim, Tharimm, Hangholor, and Bhen Londir.

Geography

The world is dominated by a massive cave system that spans the entire planet. The surface is rocky and uninhabitable, and the soil isn't suitable for crop growth, resulting in most of the few people who actually live on the surface resorting to exporting food from other worlds.

Fauna & Flora

In the caverns of Ranghir, life is sparse. The majority of life in the caves is edible fungi, the main food of the dwarves, who farm different species of them.

Natural Resources

Several colonies of humans have been created, closely observed and monitored by the dwarves, for mining Gatesilver, adamantine, and mithril. Several rare fungi and also spell components can be found here
