Vaarmeq, God of Chance
Mischief Reversal Defiance
Divine Domains
Trickery Those who prescribe to the worship of Vaarmeq commit themselves to a life of mischief and chaotic endeavors. The followers of the God of Chance seek to bring disorder and "life" to the regimented, civilized world.
Tenets of Faith
Mischief, Reversal, Defiance The tenets of Vaarmeq are kept alive in the shadows and dimmer sects of many societies.
Holidays
Those who adhere to the teachings of the God of Chance have no holidays to call their own. To Vaarmeq's followers, every day is a day of celebration as its outcome is unclear and every moment is ripe for mischief. The best holidays are, therefore, the holidays of other Gods, as there are few better moments to play pranks and create mischief, and clergy tend to react extremely poorly to the antics of the God of Chance. This is, of course, an ideal result for the Vaarmeq's faithful.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Vaarmeq is the God of Chance, to many, he is the very embodiment of chaos. Although to the God's proponents and adversaries alike, Vaarmeq appears to befuddle even other entities of chaos. To Vaarmeq and his followers the chaos of the The Sea of Sparks or of Lech's corruption, is just much too predictable and boring.
Vaarmeq's influence and followers have a parasitic relationship with civilization and society. What good is mischief if there is no establishment to be bothered by it? How can there be an organization of thieves if there is no elite class to steal from and no organized guard to harry them? How can anyone take a chance if there are no stakes?
These are the main reasons why Vaarmeq is aligned against other agents of chaos almost as often as lawful entities. For the God of Chance and his followers to continue their own brand of chaos, there must be a certain balance. Some even believe that Vaarmeq is himself a balancing agent in the cosmos on the order of Space and Time. The strongest indication of Vaarmeq's lack of intention as to Jeharr is the fact that Vaarmeq controls no realm and instead resides on Jeharr, a place that is seemingly out of reach of all of the other Gods.
It is unclear exactly what, if anything, Vaarmeq wants with Internus and Jeharr. In fact, as is in theme for the god of chance, that seems to change with the flip of a coin, or the roll of a die. Historically Vaarmeq has aligned with nearly every God at some point or another and against them all as well. Vaarmeq is known to have a complicated relationship with his disapproving father Rein, God of Integrity, his warm mother Ahnita, Goddess of Compassion and his sister, Farahnita, Goddess of Love.
