MISTRESS OF TIDES

She who drinks regularly from the waters of Ayasha is raised to this rank. One is connected to the wellspring.
Duties
As Mistress of the Tides one sees to the protection of all who sail to and from Jennara. One is a negotiator with the element of water who can be selfish. Many a sunken vessel has been pulled down for not showing proper homage to Ayasha.
Responsibilities
Ayasha must be present at the temple at the change of tides to balance them with offerings.
Benefits
A port town is highly indebted to anyone who provides safety on its waterways. She is entitled to a tithe from all businesses that sail in or sail out of Portsmouth in the amount of at least ten percent. This includes ten percent of every fisherman's haul that operates out of Portsmouth. Which means that the Mistress of the tides as well as are entitled to the best in sea food. This also means that fish may provided for charity among some of impoverished.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Mistress of the Tides usually wears a long blue silken gown with several silk veils at the water of several different colors and a shawl that looks like a fishing net.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The Mistress of the Tides. Can only be removed in death. The position cannot be refilled by any of the quarter dais. A mistress of the tides has never been removed.
