Wilas Elmsbury, Packmaster
Wood elf Wilas Elmsbury ranks among the shadows of Herne hunting club of which Ciaran is a member charged with the task of keeping those beasts of faerie who have passed through the gates of Leathem from wandering into the mainland.
The Shadows of Herne hunting club also tracks down those dark Fae that might steal mortal children from the mainland.
The foe the club most often faces are displacer beasts. Given that the club hunts creatures that are dimensionally unstable the hounds they call upon are blink dogs. The company hounds are stabled at the Leshandras grounds and also serve as guard dogs to the estate.
In the wake of Ciaran Leshandras death Wilas Elmsbury is on unfamiliar ground. He has always considered himself more a guest of the Estate than servant due to his friendship with Ciaran. The pressure to keep the family safe has become stronger and lacks the bond of friendship.
This is not to say that he is not resolved to defend the place. Recently the hardest charge for Wilas has been Ciaran's favorite hound Cedric.
Like all the dogs Cedric has been un nerved by the recent fire but hardest on him is the absence of Ciaran Leshandras. Though the kennels do not actually contain the dogs most sleep their out of obedience. Cedric in the evenings had the habit of blinking up into Ciaran's balcony and spending the evening with him.
Cedric does not understand that Ciaran is no longer with him and instead feels his favorite has left him and howls on his balcony all night until Wilas retrieves him in the middle of the night.
