Changelings

Changelings are a humanoid race who are distantly descended from the same race as doppelgangers and share their shapeshifting qualities. Coming from the lands of Klordrager, Changelings have ventured out over the centuries establishing themselves throughout the lands. Changelings are subtle shapeshifters capable of disguising their appearance, making them consummate spies and criminals.

Biological Traits

While changelings can look like anyone, they do have a true form.

Their natural look can be scary to some due to their lack of detail and distinctive features. Their skin tone is always pale, either white or light gray, and they tend to have slender bodies with limbs slightly longer in proportion to other humanoids.

However, most changelings are rarely seen in their true form and prefer to adopt all kinds of humanoid shapes, treating their appearance like others treat clothes. This includes gender.

Facial characteristics

They have large colorless eyes circled by thick black rings. Their hair color is most commonly a light shade of silver followed by platinum and blonde. In rarer cases, their hair can be pale shades of green, pink, and blue. Similar to elves, changelings lack body and facial hair.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

A subcontinent peninsula that juts out from Himalayan-style mountains in three distinct land masses surrounded by an archpelago. This creates two gulfs of water between the three land masses, and two distinct passages between the outer land masses and the islands. Hundreds of islands run in front of the three landmasses creating a network of water passages throughout the region. The extremely high and acute mountain ranges make land routes between the fingers of land masses impossible, so water travel is the only viable transportation in and out of Klordrager. The land making the three fingered peninsula is covered with fjords of various sizes creating thousands of coves, bays, and inlets.
