The Vanalia-Hadrin Union
The Vanalia-Hadrin Union was a merger of the kingdoms of Vanalia and Hadrin following the latter's "times of troubles."
Structure
At the head of the Union lay the king of both countries. King of Vanalia in descent, elected to the throne of Hadrin by the local magnates.
The two realms were essentially independent, with both structures merely being headed by the king and adhering to him in times of war.
Assets
Although Hadrin had been ravaged by war prior to the union, the region did recover well. With the Arasian addition, Vanali power was complimented. Able to draw on many new soldiers, the union was able to effectively combat interests in both the Arasian and Gerreggian spheres.
History
Following the death of the Hado king, Hadrin was thrown into chaos and invaded by its neighbors. Faced with this situation, the magnates offered the crown to the king of Vanalia in exchange for his protection. The king of Vanalia agreed and proceeded to restore Hadrin's borders.
Disbandment
The Vanalia-Hadrin Union was dismantled by the treaty of Kart, after The 12 Years War.
