Flaming Fist

The Flaming Fist are a mercenary company based in Baldur's Gate, a city to which they are primarily loyal, being funded by a conglomerate of merchants and nobles. They have an outpost within Chult, at Fort Beluarian, lead by their commander Liara Portyr. Outwardly, they work in "pacifying" territory, making travel safer from bands of undead, or aggressive Lizardfolk or Batiri tribes, predominantly in the Eastern regions along the River Olung. As such, the Flaming Fist control exploration rights in this area, and without a Charter of Exploration, adventurers are not permitted to loot or delve. Those who do secure passage gain the Flaming Fists resources, including mercenary soldiers if required, for the price of a percentage of their gains. The group themselves seem to have interests of their own within the Jungle, and have gotten rich off of many discoveries.
