Castinus Anchorage

One of the first facilities to be constructed in the Juriah sector upon reunification was Castinus Anchorage, the Sectorial Fortress and local Imperial Navy Headquarters. It lies in orbit over the fortress world of Surinorn’s Citadel. At its height, Castinus Anchorage was a sprawling web of metal platforms and giant dockyards, extending several kilometers outwards in a vision of efficiency and a display of Imperial majesty. It’s armaments included powerful macrocannon and lance batteries, thousands of anti-starfighter kinetic gun emplacements as well as hangars full of defense vessels like Cobra-class destroyers and Firestorm-class frigates.   Castinus Anchorage was initially constructed with the vision of housing all of the vessels from Battlefleet Juriah as well as civilian ships and other visiting Imperial fleets. At one point its vast dockyards could fit and service well over 300 Cruisers and Battleships, as well as thousands more of starfighters, typically Fury interceptors and Starhawk bombers. Much like the state of the Battlefleet itself, Castinus Anchorage has suffered greatly from constant war. Many of its once mighty dockyard sections are now abandoned, either through disrepair, lack of materials or ships to service. The recent Chaos assaults, while a victory for the Imperial forces have taken their toll on the Anchorage and Battlefleet Juriah. Though repairs and replenishment are underway, it will take quite some time to bring either back to their former glory.   These serve to deter any would-be pirate or aggressor, while its large dockyards serve as stations for patrols to re-arm and resupply, as well as a refueling station for mercantile shipping.   Battlefleet Juriah, based on Castinus Anchorage, often find themselves in the midst of the many conflicts of the sector, supporting Imperial forces from the void and transporting troops and supplies as necessary, often at great cost to themselves.
