History

An almost destroyed karnivore class armiger stood amongst the rubble of an unknown battle, bodies, long dead littering the ground where it stood. This strange site was discovered by the Heretek Belcari, who recover the karnivore. The heretical Tech-Priest Belcari brought the strange machine to his Hell-Forge world and began working on repairing the broken machine. Eventually, enough of this ancient machine was restored and it began talking to Belcari. Its name was Korvohk the Jackal Knight, it bargained with Belacri. In exchange for its full recovery, Korvohk would wreak havoc upon the priest's enemies in his name. Though what truly intrigued Belcari is the knight had no pilot, it was controlled by an ancient abominable intelligence corrupted by Chaos. After months of tinkering and prayers, Korvohk was returned to full strength. He made good on his promise to destroy multiple factorums on the Hell-Forge world accompanied by all manner of the priest's strange allies. Korvohk led the charge, quickly establishing itself as a brutal and effective commander. With each destroyed factorum their plundered technology grew and Belcari began building a stronger chassis for the corrupted AI. So great did this hoard of technology and corrupted knight chassis grow that Belcari struck a new deal with Korvohk. Belcari would build and maintain an army for Korvohk so long as the Tech-Priest could continue to study and hoard the technological spoils of Korvohk's wars. This would be the birth of a warband that would go down in Imperial history as The Knights of Korvohk.   The 1st Imperial recorded contact of Korvohk's invasion force was on an Astra Militarum munitions depot. The carnage was swift and bloody as the Knights flooded through a series of minor warp rifts that opened moments before. The depot was overrun almost immediately and the outpost was destroyed. There were no survivors.   After the collapse of the Court of Lost Dreams Korvohk created the Warpfire Crucible, recruiting many of the warbands that had united under the Dreamer with the same goal, to see the sector burn. The Warpfire Crucible rose in power to the point where they challenged the Iron Spearhead as the dominant Chaos force in the sector. This sparked a war between the two Chaos forces, most of the fighting taking place on the corrupted world of Malthus, Harkor and Korvohk parlayed after Malthus had fallen to Harkor's ruthless bombardment, discussing what it would take to merge the Alliances, a deal was struck and Korvohk became the 2nd in command of what was now the Iron Crucible.   At the citadel the Warmaster of the Iron Crucible, Harkor made a planetfall, Korvohk believes he was baited by the foolish Avengers of Morgomaigne and the Oblivion Order. Harkor making planetfall caused massive dissertations in the Iron Fleet as many ship commanders had deemed the battle lost. Korvohk scrambled to regain control of the fleet to no avail, as the Chaos forces fled the citadel, Korvohk merged his mind via daemonic possession with Bronn of the 101st Grand Seige Company “The Hopeless” becoming Kor’Vonn. With now a physical form Kor'Vonn was able to manifest themself as a cybernetic Keeper of Secrets, half rampant AI, half daemon.
