Once a lush Paradise world, Sofia the III would face terrifying changes as Freak Meteor Shower caused the planet to undergo several centuries of Tectonic Instability, ultimately culminating with a series of supervolcanic Eruptions that would cause Entrances to A Necron Tomb World to open, having miraculously survived the cataclysm that wiped out all live on the Surface. Now a Volcanic Wasteland, the world of Sofia III would attract the attention of the expansionist Ekmedos Dynasty, who would arrive shortly after the other participants of the War of Abydos. Despite the Tomb Complex’s entrances being blown shut by the Imperium, and the Daemonic Blood Tide’s attempt to destroy the planets system, Overlord Nectarehk managed to successfully acquire the Necrontyr Weapon withing the planet, and claimed the Tomb World for his Master.
