The Scarecrow
Hung in a field for 50 years.
For years before that he worked as a critter catcher and farm helper however needed. The scarecrow got struck by lightning on a very stormy night. It set the robot in sentry rest mode for 50 years. Before that he worked as an assault scarecrow protecting the field from critters by trapping them. Sometimes they would be turned into sustenance for the town, sometimes they had a sickness and needed to be put to rest. His hatred for birds came from years of standing still and acting as a bird hangout/date night location/restroom etc. Another stormy night came to that same field similar to the ‘big one’ from years previous and the scarecrow was struck by lightning again. This time it sent his system to reboot.
