Zweibow

Restrictions: Quarrelian cultural background   A small, complex crossbow that has 2 firing mechanisms, in an over/under configuration. The auxillary bolt does slightly less damage than the primary. It takes a substantial effort to reload the double mechanism, even with the mechanical advantage built into the device.   Loading Two handed Ranged Special   Damage: 1d8 + (Dex) And/or Damage: 1d6 Damage type: Piercing Range: 80/320   When you fire the first bolt as normal, you may use a bonus action to fire the auxillary bolt at the same target.   If you choose to do so, the second attack does not receive the ability damage bonus.   If you do so reloading the crossbow requires a DC12 strength check. If failed, the user must reattempt the strength check before firing the weapon again.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A double armed crossbow, of a similar size to a standard light crossbow. The auxillary bolt is slightly smaller and can be fired at the same time as the primary or sepratley, but must be reloaded in conjunction with the primary.   A clever gearing system allows for a standard user to be capable of reloading the extra heavy bow.
