Within the Seraphixian branch of the Church of Bane is a separate religious order dedicated to worshiping and spreading Bane's dark influence. Under the command of Nultial Invictus, they are a cruel and power-hungry group with a strict hierarchy.

Sanguine, Jasmine, Ymphraxis, Natalya, Kaiza, Torgal, Manfried, and Sziegfried were killed by Anya el-Gabrioli, the Saint of Silver Stars after an unsuccessful attempt to ambush and capture her (though the combined strengths of their Dying Curses proved lethal enough for Anya to succumb to their effects a month later).
During a routine trip to Seraphix's Aurelian Empire to meet with the nobility, those eight members posed as nobles and requested an audience with her at an affluent churchgoers home. She arrived with her handmaidens, expecting to discuss politics but was met with eight of the Twelve Apostles and a small army of their foot soldiers. The fanatics begged and bribed her to back the Church of Bane’s crusade against the Church of Tyr. She declined and told them to recruit elsewhere, to seek backing from a local noble. They persisted, growing more fanatical and more aggressive until they attempted to forcefully take her with them back to their Cathedral in Lumen. Anya defended herself and was forced to kill the fanatical Apostles, being struck by eight separate Dying Curses in the process. Following her death, her brother Marcosius swore an oath to eradicate the Church of Bane from Seraphix. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so before the events of Heaven's Fall.
With Anya dead and Marcoisus MIA along with the rest of the fallen Babylonians, the 4 remaining Apostles were sent to Kōryō to kill Conradus Stonero and bring his corpse to Seraphix so as to break the fighting spirit of the Church of Tyr.
Juriel and his Shadow Dragon mount Scorn were killed by Himuro Raishin and Mori Ayaka respectively after an unsuccessful attempt to abduct Conradus.
With Laxius' assistance, Vazrimoth was killed and her soul trapped in the scythe of Conradus Stonero following a devastating first encounter with her in the Chasm.
Galbatorix and his mount Agony were ambushed in Tochigi Forest by Genji, Miyamoto Suzuha, Musashibo Benkei, and Conradus. Genji dealt the finishing blow to both foes.
