Abraxas
Abraxas was orphaned as an infant, after his father was murdered, and his mother (who has spent two years in the service of Ishtar) died soon thereafter of a broken heart. His mother's temple (one of the largest in Nimmur) took pity on the child, and raised him as an acolyte.
Despite being one of the few males of the temple, Abraxas was very talented -- both in reading signs and performing trances. However, he was also easily distracted by the many beautiful women who served alongside him in the temple. At first, the High Priestesses thought it cute -- with the young Abraxas falling head over heals for a different acolyte each week. But, as he grew older, as one of the only men in the temple, his amorous advances (a number of which were reciprocated) became a distraction.
Ultimately, it was decided for the sake of the temple that it would be best to undertake a mission -- one that would keep him away for a long, long time. To that end, he was charged with the task of retrieving Persephone's beauty cream for the goddess (Aphrodite's task that Psyche had failed). The elder's figure that even if this quest were possible, it should take Abraxas at least 20-30 years (to be strong enough retrieve such an item from the underworld) -- long enough for his passions to die down.
He has travelled to Kadmeia as part of his quest. Over the past couple of years he's moved from town to town, helping out at local temples and selling his seer services, as he tries to figure out how begin his search. After coming to Ormos, he came into contact with Lenora - a hetaira with connections. Aside from being intrigued by her links to Hades, Abraxas also became interested in her client - a local aristocrat named Spyridon. Soon, Lenora had arranged for Spyridon to receive a reading from Abraxas, but the noble seemed to go missing right before his appointment. Abraxas joined Lenora in searching for the old man, and unwittingly stumbled into this story...
Abraxas is a full-grown man, though on account of easy living, he is on the weak side. For a Nimmurian, he is also uncharacteristically lacking in facial hair. His most notable feature is his inexplicably golden-colored eyes.
He is followed by a dove he calls Olive.
