Ormos
Ormos is the port of the capital city, Rabdos. It is located about 5 miles south of the capital, on the Yaynic Sea, and it is roughly half a day's travel east of Spyridon's estate.
Ormos is the entrepôt to which foreign merchants, especially from Ammayat and Neheshya are drawn. Here they buy up large shipments of olive oil and wine, though some also come to purchase slaves and recruit mercenaries. In exchange, the foreigners bring in bronze, spices, medicines, drugs, exotic animals, and luxury textiles, along precious metals and gems.
The town has the character of a frontier settlement. It lacks large and fortified structures, perhaps for ease of rebuilding in case it is attacked by pirates. It also draws in foreign exiles who seek to start a new life in a new country. It caters to the exiles and traders of various kinds by holding frequent markets. The sex trade is also quite well represented here.
