the shrine of the icy breath

Hidden deep in the ruins under the house of shadows lies a chamber with a frozen fountain.In the ice half stuck is the Dark Crystal. This is a shard said to be one of the tears of Mor when he wept for the loss of his brother Terak.   These chambers are deathly cold to anyone not holding a Ice Knife.and wearing the dark robes of the cult.   A ceremony of Bleeding is held here once per month where one member(chosen by the Master of gifts) brings a person of the Five ( member of one of the five races with a soul) then ritualistically sending them off with the gift.If this ritual is performed well enough,they can ask of the guardian one question.   TheGuardian is a fiend bound to the shrine. His name is Sodder.

Purpose / Function

These chambers are used by members of the Givers. Here they perform three ceremony rituals.   The ceremony of Bleeding is held here once per month where one member(chosen by the Master of gifts) brings a person of the Five ( member of one of the five races with a soul) then ritualistically sending them off with the gift.If this ritual is performed well enough,they can ask of the guardian one question.   The ritual of ascension is done when a member is decided it is time for his judgment.   Crafting of the Ice knife is done when a new member is adorned with his blade.

a fountain that has a Crystal shard impeded into its icy surface.

Valuables

The Crystal is the most obvious of treasure but frozen in the walls are many gemstones that have been put here to enhance the gathering of eldricht energy.

It is known that to touch the Crystal is death without the gift. There are multiple poison traps and blade traps in the halls.

Architecture

The walls and chambers of the halls of ice are Dwarven in design, it is obviously from pre-notime and there are a few doors held shut by magical means. the walls have a thin coating of ice as well as  the air itself being  deathly cold, 1 hp DMG per minute.These cold effects dont seem to bother those wearing a ice dagger and robe as.

History

Seven Years ago the Master of Gifts came out of the basement of the shadow knives.He was attacked briefly but it was quickly understood he was there to help.He joined with the Knives, that night.
