Drana's Spear
“I doubt it’s the actual weapon, but as proceedings went on – I’m still surprised we didn’t get kicked out – they passed the now Za several objects of importance. Most reverently, an old wooden spear. My friend insisted it was a hisa pafo. On Kastav, it’s a tiny thing, though.”Drana’s Spear (in Oxaleso: Drana hisa ama) is a ceremonial weapon, allegedly used by Drana Punomo during the Independence War. While colloqially called Drana's Spear, it is actually a halberd.
Properties
In its modern form, the "spear" lacks the axehead. The pole is approximately a metre tall. It is made of common wood, hence the speculation that this was not Drana Punomo's "spear"Rituals
During Coronation preceedings, a soon-to-be monarch will be handed several items of national significance. Each reperesent a cornerstone of a what a monarch "should be". In the case of the spear, the only martial element within the coronation preceedings (in Nero culture a Simo or Za is very different to a Rasa; a war cheif), the spear represents personal and national strength. Depending on the character of the Za and the current diplomatic relations between Pani Puri and Hizi Pas, he might thrust it north-eastwards toward the captial of Hizi Pas.
