Order of Klyn (Order of K-lin)
The Ancient "Order of Klyn" are well known in Kaldran history. Their actions sparked several holy wars, inquisitions, and general hate. They worshiped the Vizar like gods and worked in direct opposition to most of Kaldra at the time who worshiped the Lorkin. Based in Gaion at the time, the Order of Klyn would eventually traverse the world seeking new followers. They usually recruited young children, although no one knows why they targeted them. These kids were taken even if their parents refused and most of the time, the Lords would kill their parents as well.
They were well-funded and incredibly powerful. It was only after the Vahlic King Arnvid's son was taken that he declared war on several kingdoms in order to hunt down the cult. This started with the Purge of Antonne and began the War of Children.
By the time the war ended it was believed that the Order of Klyn were destroyed and could do no harm to the children of Kaldra again.
Mythology & Lore
The Ancient Kaldrans were so advanced they seemed to be gods to the men that made up the Order of Kyln. They revered the Old Kaldran Empire and even went as far as praying and worshiping the Ancient Kaldrans. Any artifacts found belonging to the Old Kaldran Empire was hunted down by the Order of Klyn and taken to their "Mausoleum of the Old Gods".
Divine Origins
The core members of the Order of Klyn founded it after finding a huge piece of technology that sent them "visions of the gods". In these "visions", the gods demanded their worship and commissioned them to traverse the world amassing more technology from the Old Kaldran Empire, specifically the "Shards of Houl".
Cosmological Views
The Order believes the Ancient Kaldrans created the world of Kaldra to test the will of man. To the Order, the gods use Kaldra as a snadbox.
Tenets of Faith
Seek thine "Shards of Houl"
Conscript all those be they pure of spirit (children) and nearest thine Shards
Protect thine Shards to ye death
Ethics
They inducted children into their cause wherever they were, especially nearby where they found the pieces of Kaldran technology. They believed that the children living nearby one of these artifacts had a special connection to it, and therefore was a powerful link to "the gods".
