Terbius, The Unyielding

The Unyielding Terbius Quill (a.k.a. The Broker)

The half-brother to Solomon Quill, Terbius has always been the black sheep of the family. Born and raised in Gotha, Terbius was nicknamed "The Unyielding" as a teen because of his unrelenting nature and silver tongue. Making deals and stealing hearts are things Terbius does with ease...

Personal history

Terbius and his half-brother were nearly inseparable as children. After Solomon's mother and Terbius' father married, however, that began to change.   As childhood best friends the two would play together in the fields and forests around Gotha. Once their surviving parents married, the two became brothers. For a time, this was everything they wanted, but it would change as the two aged. By young adulthood, the pair would become increasingly agitated with the other's choices in life.   Being naturally large, Terbius found he had a knack for intimidation and a silver tongue for manipulation. As a young man, he would get into trouble more often than not. Eventually, fearing for his son's freedom, Terbius' father sent him to Oxford in hopes he would become a scholar or some type of learned man. While Terbius did get some training as a doctor, eventually the call of adventure called too loudly in his ear.   One night Terbius stumbled upon a gentleman thief who taught him the ways of lockpicking and making one be stealthy. After seeing this thief's lifestyle, Terbius modeled his entire life from then on after the man. Traveling all over Inglaand, parts of Span'ce, Querra, and the Al-Zha'ad, Terbius did odd jobs for years.    With riches and experience under his belt, he returned home to find Gotha was  quickly inducted into the Thieves Guild in Gotha and in a short time, he was running it.
