Greater Tiressa

Greater Tiressa consists of Tiressa proper, Suboros and Sirimatai. Some scholars also include Dawnmoor in the definition but at no time in recent memory have Tiressa laid claim to the wilderness.   Nationalistic groupings in Tiressa stake claims for both Sirimatai and the entirety of the Oros mountains, including all cities of the Suboros confederation.   Although Sirimatai was perhaps the oldest province of the Kampos Empire, and thus a powerful one, it has been Tiressa that have come out ahead in the centuries after the fall. Control over Camshan has been vital -- three wars were fought between Tiressa and Sirimatai before Camshan rebelled against both and claimed independence about 350 years ago, although stewardship has remained with Tiressa since.   While all three states share ethnic makeup and larger cultural markings, the current situation is one of uneasy peace funded on three different ideals: Nationalist expansionism aided by the Church of Toren in Tiressa; fierce protection of the Old Gods (specifically Nabu) and preservation of the past in Sirimatai; diplomacy and power broking through trade in Suboros.

Tiressa makes up most of this map. The mountain range in the middle is a sovereign enclave in Tiressa known as the Suboros federation. The upper peninsula is Dawnmoor and home to peoples Tiressans call barbarians. The lower peninsula is Sirimatai, a sovereign theocracy in service of the god of Knowledge, Nabu.
