Infectus
The Black Fever has died down, with spontaneous infections no longer appearing. It is not, however, entirely eradicated and those who were in the later stages of the sickness still cannot partake equally in society. With people fearing the infected would start a new plague, lynch mobs hunted down the sick and burned them in the streets. Into this chaos stepped Graves, a former Black Cloak officer.
Thrown out of Yondergate, she gathered the most vicious infected under her command and turned them into a criminal enterprise, focusing on catering to the needs of the city’s infected populace, selling everything from blood and corpses to curatives that dampen the unnatural urges caused by the Black Fever.
While the Infectus try their best to not obviously murder people in the streets, knowing full well that an outright riot in the streets would spell disaster for them, they are not above taking assassination contracts or even procuring the body of specific people should a particularly discerning customer desire to eat someone in particular.
Having taken over an old church, the Infected has renamed it Plagueboil Cathedral and made it anathema to anyone not affected by the Black Fever. Anyone who trespasses should not expect to leave without their own particular strain of the disease.
