Into the Ruins
You manage to push the doors open enough to enter, and step foot into a massive square room. There are carvings in every nook and cranny on the walls, unreadable runes embedded into the ground, and a broken crystal chandelier dangling above a strange pedestal in the center of the room.
There are two other hallways in the room, not counting the one you just entered. To you left, an almost-tunnel like hall seems to just keep going until a sharp turn. In front of you, a staircase with light softly shining down it stands in your way.
You walk over to the pedestal, hearing your footsteps echo loudly off of the walls, before reaching the stone and realizing that there are over twenty chains locked onto it's jagged surface, each of them ending in a sharp-looking metal cuff. After swiftly deciding it wouldn't be a good idea to touch them, you move on.
