Climactic battle of the Great Civil War

The Lanarian forces defeated the Vincaran ones, but it was a pyrrhic victory, as it left both sides with severely reduced military capabilities.   The Vincaran commander, Xarax, was slain by the Lanarian commander, Delzon. Afterward the Vincarans would claim Xarax's ship was retreating at the time, making Delzon's actions dishonorable. The Lanarians claimed Xarax was moving to ram a Lanarian medical ship, which would have been an equally dishonorable act.
