The Sunless Citadel

The Citadel was originally created as a place of worship and stronghold for the worshippers of Tiamat; before her fall and ascension to demi godhood. The Citadel was home to worshippers of Bahamut but was devoted to a sect of his worship who revered his queen the beautiful platinum dragon; Tiamat. The worshippers would train here, collect knowledge from conquered peoples and plan future assaults on the enemies of the Platinum dragon.
Now the ruin is home to unwanted pests and vagabonds who have turned this once holy site into a make shift home and temple to the now fallen Tiamat, the deceiver. Kobolds have moved into the temple and not for the first time, these Kobolds tunnel from the Underdark and view this temple as the holiest of sites. As well as this a tribe of Goblins, the Durbuluk who have been following the Hobgoblin; Durnn, who in turn is being paid by a mysterious figure to guard the Citadels lowest floor.
The Lower Levels of the Citadel are a beautiful magical lair with an ancient Gulthias Tree, at least there was once a beautiful tree, the last group of adventures a few months ago delved in to the dungeon and freed the spirit of a vampire that long dead Inquisitors had staked to the tree. The Tree once gifted a single perfect piece of fruit that would heal aliments and bring long-lasting life, now it is a husk of death under intense experimentation.
