Magai Hand

The leaders of the Grand Order of the Magai, the Magai Hands counted a representative of every field among the Magai, and a top leader. Acting as a council, every Magai Hand has an equal amount of power.
Magai Hands were not a permanent position, but could be held for many years or even decades. Most Magai eventually tire of their position, seeking to either retire or move back into a more active field position, but some stay on the council until they no longer can--or die before they can leave.

Requirements

A Magai Hand must be a Maven or Adept, and have achieved that rank in the field they're supposed to represent. For Adepts, the field they represent must be one they have Adept rank in. Additionally, Magai Hands can only represent one field at a time; a Magai who is already on the council, cannot be suggested for a different position.

Appointment

Magai Hands are selected democratically. If a position becomes available, all current Magai Hands can suggest a Magai to take that position, including the Magai Hand who is retiring from that position, with the only requirement being that they're a Maven or Adept in that field. All Mavens and Adepts in that field then get the option to vote for their preferred option among the suggested Magai. The winner is then elected into the position, becoming the new Magai Hand.
The top leader works a little differently, as they represent the Magai Order as a whole, rather than a specific field. Like for the other positions, current Magai Hands get to suggest Magai to take on that position, restricted only to Mavens and Adepts not already on the council. The Magai Hands (bar the old overall leader) then vote for the new Hand themselves.
