The curtain falls shut behind you with a soft rustle, sealing you inside the nameless tent. As you step forward, it's as though the world around you vanishes, pulling you into a timeless void. Heavy incense, earthy and ancient, clings to the air, its intoxicating aroma clouding your senses. Your head feels heavy, and a numbness spreads through your limbs, making each movement feel distant, as if you’re wading through a dream.

A single lantern sways gently from the ceiling, casting long, shifting shadows on the tent’s canvas walls. Its faint, flickering light barely illuminates the space, but enough to reveal a small round table draped in woven cloth. Intricate patterns swirl across the fabric, their meaning as elusive as time itself.

As your eyes adjust to the dim light, you notice a figure seated at the table. Cloaked in ragged robes, the figure’s face is obscured beneath the shadow of a hood. Beneath the hood, you make out a worn blindfold covering his eyes, frayed at the edges from time. But it is the third eye- set in the center of his forehead- that holds your gaze. It stares at you, black and fathomless, with no iris. In its place there is a spiraling vortex of energy, twisting and pulsing, tugging at the edges of your mind, threatening to unravel your sanity.

Then, the Seer speaks.

"You've traveled far, soul." His voice is low, like the soft crackling of autumn leaves underfoot. It carries with it a strange, soothing cadence. "I can sense the weight of your strength... and your burden."

He gestures slowly toward the empty chair across from him, inviting you to sit. His movements are deliberate, each one carrying the weight of ages. You lower yourself into the seat, and without a word, a worn deck of cards materializes in his weathered hands. Despite his blindness, he shuffles the cards with practiced ease, the motions smooth and fluid, as though the cards know him as well as he knows them.

"The cards know the past, the present, and the future," he murmurs, spreading three cards before you, face down. "But whether you choose to trust their truth... that is up to you."

The cards lie still for only a moment before, with a faint shimmer, they flip themselves over, revealing the truths they hold for you.

THE PAST

THE PRESENT

THE FUTURE

WHAT WAS

The Seer’s hands hover just above the card as it turns over, revealing a figure walking down a path, cloaked in shadow and standing against a backdrop of sunset. The sky overhead is heavy, and distant figures- blurred, almost formless- linger at the edges of the worn out card. The air around grows suddenly heavy as if the very past is pressing down on your shoulders.

The Seer leans forward, his third eye narrowing, and speaks in a tone as ancient as the card itself.

If you followed the path of the Vanishing Knight

The Seer studies the card, his voice soft, almost distant.

"You stood before the Vanishing Knight, clad in armor heavy with the weight of your burdens. To let go was the challenge, and you succeeded. But your true test came afterward, when the Nameless tried to mock you, to diminish your victories, making you doubt yourself and the confidence you gained while following your path. Yet, you endured. You did not give in. You resisted the call to surrender your will, even when it seemed like the world itself was against you."

The Seer pauses for a moment and then, he turns his gaze to your face.

"Strength carried you so far, but the question remains: are you strong enough to lay down your fears and doubts when the time comes?"

If you followed the path of the Strongman

The Seer’s voice lowers, as though speaking of something almost too delicate to touch.

"Ah, I see... you have chosen the path of the Strongman. You sought to find wisdom in strength, a dangerous balance to walk. And then you faced the Clown. But it wasn’t your body it sought to devour but your will, your resolve. It offered you comfort; an easy escape from the weight of your own mind. But you didn’t give in. You recognized the trap for what it was and held fast. In facing the twisted mirror of your own desires, you chose to learn from your pain, not fight it, but let it exist alongside you."

He pauses briefly.

"Yet you need to remember this: wisdom can turn to obsession all too easy. What you carry in silence may consume you if left unchecked."

If you followed the path of the Beastman

The Seer’s head tilts slightly, his voice taking on a contemplative tone.

"You walked a path that fed at your instincts, pulling at your very soul, and yet you moved forward. The Beastman was but a reflection of the wildness within, but it was the Statue's Choice that nearly unraveled you. A game designed not to challenge your strength but to paralyze you with indecision. It tried to root you in place, make you question every step you’d ever taken. But you resisted. You acknowledged the fear of making the wrong choice, and in that moment, you found clarity."

The Seer’s third eye seems to pulse as he adds,

"Acknowledging your burdens is the first step toward release. But do you see the chains you’ve left behind, or have they only shifted into another form?"

If you reached the Depths too early

The Seer’s voice softens, his tone laced with quiet understanding and a faint hint of curiosity.

"Ah, you stumbled upon the Depths before the paths had truly opened to you. It was not a choice that led you here, but a flight- a flight from the Faceless. You found its performance terrifying. Your fear of losing control led you into the unknown depths of this carnival way too early. But you' ve learned your lesson, didn't you? Control is a very fragile thing.

His voice deepens, weighted with something like caution.

"You escaped the strings of manipulation, but at what cost? The Depths preyed upon your doubts. You survived, yes, but the darkness still clings to you. Control isn’t won by running, and until you face all that you keep hidden, it will continue to pull at the edges of your mind."

The room seems to grow quieter as the Seer’s words fade into the heavy silence, leaving the card shimmering faintly before you. His blindfolded face remains still, but the third eye flickers with an unsettling intensity.

“The past is not just a memory,” the Seer says, his voice an echo in the dim space. “It is the path you walk, the shadows that follow you. But it is also the light that guides you, if you let it.”

WHAT IS

The Seer’s hand hovers over the card representing the present, and as it flips, a wave of unease washes over you. The Seer's third eye pulses rhythmically, like a heartbeat in the darkness, and his voice turns heavy with meaning.

"The present is where you stand now, at the crossroads of fate. But the path you took to reach me speaks of choices that shaped your very soul. Let’s see where those choices have led you..."

If you reached the Seer after meeting Erythos

The Seer’s expression remains still, though a subtle tension fills the air.

"You descended into the Depths, faced the creature bound to darkness beneath the carnival. Erythos, the one who guards the secrets of death and life itself. You did not run from his riddles, nor did you surrender to the fear they stirred within you."

His voice lowers, becoming more thoughtful.

"You were tested, soul, and you survived. But each answer comes with a price, does it not? You’ve glimpsed something others fear to even speak of. That knowledge has changed you, though you might not yet understand how deeply."

If you reached the Seer by fleeing the Scales of Judgement

The Seer’s third eye flickers, and his lips curl into a knowing smile.

"You passed the tent of Judgement, yet you did not enter. You met another soul outside, someone who thought the risk worth taking. And you… you chose to wait. Caution, or perhaps fear, kept you from the scales."

His tone is both curious and probing.

"You did not know what lay within that tent, did you? But you sensed something, something that made you walk away. Perhaps you chose wisely. Perhaps you avoided a trial you were not yet ready for. But remember, soul... avoiding one challenge is what led you to another. And here you are, in the Seer's tent, at the mercy of fate once again."

The card before you seems to hum with the weight of your journey, reflecting both the choices made and those left behind. The Seer folds his hands before him, waiting as the present moment presses down upon you, heavy with unseen meaning.

WHAT WILL BE

The Seer’s third eye locks onto yours, its spiraling energy pulling you deeper into a sense of foreboding. He reaches for the final card with deliberate slowness, as if the weight of what it contains is almost too much to bear.

"The future is not fixed, soul. It twists and turns with every choice you make, every step you take."

His fingers hesitate above the card which features a large hourglass, its sands slipping away steadily, and a shadowy figure standing ominously before it.

The Seer leans forward, his face still shadowed, but his voice now solemn. He still haven't touched the card of your future.

"Do you wish to know your future?" he asks. "Do you long to see the path laid out before you, or will you carve your own way in the dark?"

As you make your decision, the Seer’s expression darkens. The shadowy figure from the card steps forward, seemingly reaching out to touch the hourglass.

"So, you seek certainty," the Seer intones, his voice heavy with disappointment. "Very well. But remember this, soul: embracing fate means yielding to its control."

Suddenly, the world around you spins violently, the tent dissolving into darkness. You feel an ominous pull, as if something sinister is drawing you back, condemning you to relive this madness for all eternity. Images of your trials through the carnival flash before your eyes, each one vivid and terrifying, only to be erased from your memory before you can grasp their meaning.

When you finally open your eyes, dizziness overwhelms you. The last thing you remember is stepping into the Twilight Macabre and encountering the Ringmaster. Your trials in this haunted place are about to begin, and you must hurry. You have only until dawn to escape its grasp; otherwise, you’ll be trapped here forever.

As you reject the glimpse of what could be, the image of the hourglass shimmers and transforms into a blank canvas, devoid of any image.

"You have chosen the unknown," the Seer observes, a glint of approval flickering in his hidden gaze. "A wise choice, perhaps, or a greater burden. By carving your own path, you break free from the constraints of fate, but only time will reveal how this decision will serve you."

The cards vanish, followed by the round table, the incense, and finally the tent itself. In the end, there is only you and the Seer, standing side by side. His third eye, once swirling with chaotic energy, now calms like a black ocean after a storm. You can feel the weariness in his presence as he places a comforting hand on your shoulder.

"Not many choose to remain in the dark when answers are laid before them," he says, his voice suddenly sounding more human. "But you are not like the others. Through all your trials, you have emerged stronger. Let me reward your willpower and determination."

The Seer leans back, his expression softening as he reveals a truth long buried beneath the surface of your journey.

"You are no longer among the living, soul. This carnival claimed you the moment you passed through its gates. But all is not lost. You must still fight- not for your life, but for your very essence. What lies ahead is a battle for the survival of your soul, and you cannot afford to lose."

With that revelation echoing in your mind, the shadows around you deepen, and you sense closing in to the exit- the end of your adventure. You now stand before the looming presence of
