Aeons ago, the gods of Light and Darkness shaped Kena'an, crafting a world of perfect balance, until their ambition shattered that harmony. Their rivalry led to the cataclysmic Purification, a conflict that sealed them away in the depths of the cosmos. But the gods were prepared.
Before their downfall, they left behind fragments of their divine essence, each an embodyment of a heavenly Virtue or a deadly Sin. These fragments were meant to reunite within their rightful vessels, thus releasing the Gods, but fate had other plans.
A mysterious force shattered these fragments further, splitting them into seven pieces each. Thus, the divine runes were created. Now, scattered across Kena'an, they seek out mortal hosts to wield their unimaginable power.
Prophecy foretells that when all the runes are united once more, the Gods will return to finish their war; one final battle that will determine the fate of Kena'an. But this time, it is not the Gods who will decide the world’s fate.
It is the mortals.
