Koumori Tengu
Koumori Tengu
A relative of the crow Tengu, the Koumori Tengu is a bat varient that prefers caves, abandoned areas, and the night. They are guardians over their areas of nature, and occupy a different niche than their crow counterparts. Koumori Tengu are less common, and more reclusive. They have a similar culture and community structure, but their smaller numbers incentivize them to work with the crow Tengu and their political structures rather than establish their own, or create a pan-Koumori Tengu alliance. Instead the Koumori Tengu work with their regional crow counterparts to further their own interests in exchange for support and cooperation.

You cannot discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. Flight - You have a flying speed of 30 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor. Echolocation - As long as you are not deafened, you have blindsight out to 30 feet. This ability relies on sound waves, so it doesn’t work through magical silence or against creatures without a physical form (like ghosts). Bloodsuck - melee, 1d8 + your Spellcasting Ability Modifier (necrotic damage), You regain hit points equal to half the necrotic damage dealt (rounded up). Additionally if the target is concentrating on a spell, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your spellcasting ability modifier) or lose concentration on the spell. The damage of this ability scales with level, at 5th level: 2d8, 11th level: 3d8, and 17th level: 4d8. Night’s Whisper - You have mastered moving through the darkest environments. You have advantage on Stealth checks made in dim light or darkness, and you cannot be tracked by nonmagical means unless you choose to leave a trail. Additionally your wings make no sounds.
