A winged yokai tasked with protecting areas of nature, especially mountains. Tengu have a close relationship with nature, and have a fan made of leaves and frquently use a shakujo staff to channel magic. Tengu make perfect druids and rangers.
Tengu have the most influence of any yokai outside of the cities. If you misbehave out in the forests and mountains, it is likely a Tengu that will intervene. They have powerful hierarchies and sytems of managment over their areas of nature they steward. Tengu tend to be serious and dutiful, and hold a sincere love of the areas they govern. Tengu don't like to be seen by outsiders, and like it even less when they're forced to reveal themselves to intervene in the destructive actions of unwelcome outsiders. Tengu are haughty towards humans who they see as misguided and destructive. Tengu usually like to reside in the material world, but often travel between planes to Momijiyama in Reikai. The governing body of the Tengu is the Council of the Mountain Lords.
