The Madness

The Madness is a mental affliction that plagues all Skeletons on Kenshi. As the years of immortality tick by Skeletons succumb to a gradual lose of sanity, beginning with memory and progressing either to suicide or violent outburst. The solution is to have the mind wiped clean in a sort of hard re-boot known as "The Wipe".  This affliction comes to fruition approximately every 100 years but it affects every Skeleton differently, some say Cat-Lon has never had his mind wiped.
