Corik Stonehammer
Summary
Lord General Corik Stonehammer. A mountain among his people, and the rock upon which the waves of necromancy broke. Stoic, brooding, and always a step ahead, Corik never saw defeat in any battle he fought, be it military or political.
Clad in black plate forged of star metal by his own hands and wielding a massive shield and axe of the same, legends say that hordes of undead under the control of Lyras or her commanders would lie fallen at his feet, with not so much as a scratch upon him or his armor. Corik personally slew several of Lyras' commanders, and on the singular occasion that he met Lyras in battle, his forces routed those of the Tabaxi usurper and drove her from the field.
At the end of the conflict, Corik turned his talents towards rebuilding, directing every Dwarven craftsman in his clan to assist the Ferdahl in the reconstruction efforts around Ilithi. In the year 2AV, Corik was elected as Ferdahl , where he spent the next year rebuilding Ilithi, starting with the ravaged city of Shard .
South of Shard, past the Whistling Wood, lay a canyon known as Blackthorn's canyon; a narrow ravine which, upon surveying, could be used as a chokepoint to throttle any influx of travel to and from the Pridelands. Taking this as a sign, Corik and his advisors began planning a massive wall-and-gate complex to protect this vital travel way and control access to the dangerous lands beyond.
Supplies and surveying began in earnest, but was immediately beset by delay after delay. Frustrated by the lack of progress, Corik did what no other Ferdahl had ever done in the past, abdicating his position to take personal, full-time control of the construction of the project in early 3AV, which soon became known as 'Corik's Wall'. Construction started in the early months of 4AV, and finished 14 years later, in 18AV.
During the time the wall was being constructed, Corik realized that he needed troops to defend it, and so formed the Order of The Emerald Knights in 11AV, serving as their first commander, the Lord General, for 56 years until his death in battle in 67AV.

In Art
Inside Boltbottom Keep, the massive castle-complex built into Corik's Wall, above the mantle of the massive hearth, resides the only known image of Corik that was taken during his lifetime. A massive portrait of the Lord Commander was painted on canvas a few years before his death, depicting him in his full armor, sans helm, his fiery red beard and long hair clearly visible.
Several tapestries can be found throughout the keep, each depicting the Lord General at various stages of his life; however, these are believed to have been woven after he had died, based on the memories of the weavers or using other images as a guide.
Inside the meeting hall of the Ferdahl's manor is a marble bust resting on a dais, the image carefully carved by a Dwarven Stoneshaper, as a reminder of the importance of the Ferdahl in all things.
