Order of The Emerald Knights
And so I take this oath, under no duress or confusion.
My oath stands rock solid, and I shall not waiver.
My oath ends only when I draw my last breath.
I stand watch, ever vigilant, to guard the world from the evils hidden here.
I shed light into the darkness; I am the rock upon which the waves of evil break.
I stand shoulder to shoulder among my brethren, wielding strength of arms and nerves of steel.
My oath is my bond, and it is my shield.
I stand ready to face whatever evil may stand before me.
I am an Emerald Knight, and I will not fail in my duties.

Public Agenda
The Order of the Emerald Knights, or simply The Emerald Knights, were founded with a singular vision in mind; to protect the civilized world from the rise of Necromancy, which manifested itself in the Pridelands and seemed to have an unnatural affinity for the Tabaxi peoples.
To this end, they patrol the northern northwestern Pridelands, culling beasts, keeping tabs on the comings and goings of any Tabaxi moving through the realm, and vigilantly guard Corik's Wall and it's massive complexes in a round-the-clock effort to stymie and root out evil.

History
Founded in 11AV by Corik Stonehammer , the Emerald Knights began as a small group of volunteers, but over the course of a decade or so, their numbers swelled to several hundred able-bodied warriors. A psuedo caste system arose within their ranks, placing each volunteer where their skills were best utilized among the Order; the majority of them becoming what is now known as the Warriors or the Knights, while some (mostly Dwarves) were assigned as Keepers, and even fewer assigned as Stewards.
In 67AV, Lord General Stonehammer was killed in a skirmish south of the wall; with no clear succession plan in place, it took nearly two years of internal strife before a new Lord General was elected. Since Corik, there have been four other Lord Generals who have died at their post, with Krusk currently serving as the Head of the Order.
Lord General Marcus Barrett, a human from Riverhaven, was elected in 69AV and served until his death in 91AV, slain fighting a troll outside the gate.
Lord General Ariya Shugar, a Half-Elven woman, was elected in 91AV and served until she died of natural causes in 143.
Lord General Elriic Mondragon served from 143 until 168; he was killed in a mutiny of his own men after being accused of cruelty and forcing them deeper into the Pridelands without provisions. Those men were summarily executed upon their return to the Wall.
Lord General Kaytrin Sabre, a human from Rivercrossing, served from 168 to 201, when she was slain fighting a delaying action against a horde of Goblins near Wyvern Mountain.
Lord General Krusk, a half-orc from Steelclaw clan was elected to the post after Kaytrin's death, and has led the Knights in a number of pitched battles and twice as many skirmishes in his nearly twenty year appointment.

Darkness and death lie beyond the Wall; we stand as guardians to keep Evil at bay.
