Damaris

The assassin of the Divine, few have seen Damaris and lived to tell the tale, and even fewer have survived his wrath.  Swift and silent, the Night Father strikes his target down and disappears, his dagger ending some fool's life before their body fell to the ground.

Damaris has an unexplained soft spot for children, and refuses to take their innocent lives.  Many parents, in times of desperation, when they feel the other Gods have abandoned them, will cry out to Damaris to protect their child; in those circumstances, often, the Panther will do so, forsaking the lives of the parents but shielding the child from whatever harm would befall it.

All of the Thirteen are shapeshifters, able to appear in whatever form they wish; Damaris, when seen, is typically a dark-haired human man with soft green eyes.  However, due to his nature as an assassin, Damaris' ability to shapeshift appears better than the rest, often appearing to the faithful in his Panther form.

Divine Domains

Damaris stands as the Night Father, and resides over the Twilight, Trickery, Death, and War domains.  His paladins have, most often, taken the Oath of the Crown or the Oath of Glory.

One of Damaris' most famous paladins is Rantjur Uzim, an elite assassin from The 33rd Regiment.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Night Father's symbol is the prowling panther, most often depicted with jade or citrine eyes.

Tenets of Faith

Damaris believes that a sort of cosmic balance must be maintained, a sort of status quo amongst mortals.  No one mortal should wield more power than is fair to the others; as such, he has been known to eliminate powerful warleaders, or their lieutenants, solely to maintain what he sees as a status quo.  He does not believe in the axis of good vs evil, nor in the laws of chaos and order; simply that things should be fair and balanced.
