Karpathan Destrier (Car-Pay-Thin Des-try-er)

The massive Karpathan Destrier is native to the western hills and plains of Ilithi, and has been semi-domesticated by the nomadic Horselords of the Plain.

Large and violently tempered, the Destrier serves as a warhorse in many militias and militaries, but is the primary mount-of-choice for The Linebreakers, an elite unit of shock cavalry within the Baron's Own Militia.

A domesticated clydesdale horse can stand as tall as 18, or on occasion, 20 hands; a Karpathan Destrier with good lineage can sometimes exceed 24 hands, and weigh nearly 3,000 pounds!
