Princess Jeymei Smit

Princess, Court Bard

Jeymei Smit (nèe Vorclaf) was the third child and second daughter of King Roger Vorclaf I and Aurelia Vorclaf; nearly sixteen years spanned between her older brother's birth and hers, leaving many people to believe she was, as they say, an 'oops' baby, especially at her mother's age of 44.

Regardless of the circumstances of her birth, Jeymei grew into an astonishingly beautiful young woman, who was courted by some of the most powerful and influential suitors in all of Kermoria. She eventually chose a husband in the form of Anton Smit, and the two were married in 181, just before Jeymei's 20th birthday.

Tragedy struck on her honeymoon, however, as the vessel she and her new husband were traveling on, the Elune's Kiss, sank somewhere in the Reshal Sea with a loss of all hands. The exact location of the wreckage has never been found, and no remains have ever been recovered.

Divine Domains

There were rumors before the Princess died that she was not a worshipper of The Thirteen, or of any recognized or 'accepted' Deity; based on her looks, charm, and personality, there were more than a few, even among her father's inner circle, that believed she may have made a pact with an otherwordly entity in exchange for her gifts, a pact which came due, tragically, on her honeymoon.

This was, of course, never proven, but there are still some who knew her that refer to her as a Witch.

Physical Description

Facial Features

From a very early age, Jeymei was recognized as being a striking beauty; her fair skin, disarming smile, and get-lost-within-them eyes had many suitors chomping at the bit to be here husband.

Special abilities

Jeymei showed quite a flash of musical talent, though did not appear to possess any gift with the arcane; she was, nevertheless, trained by a number of orators and musicians until she had mastered numerous stringed instruments.   She was also an accomplished singer and dancer, and was named as her father's Court Bard on her 18th birthday in 179, an honor usually bestowed on someone far older.
