The fall of the draconinc kingdoms and the end of the Draconic Era

The draconic kingdoms had been in place for millennia, but with the aid of powerful, inter-planar beings, the humanid peoples were able to overthrow the dragons and take power for themselves.

The draconic kingdoms were a group of kingdoms spanning all of Keyrae, founded by the dragons of old. There were as many kingdoms as there were dragon kinds, constantly warring and fighting with one another for more territory and to expand the hoard of their ruling dragons. Some, such as those run by the metallic dragons, came together to form empires, but many remained independent.
However, the humanids of the time, that being elves, humans, dwarves, orcs etc, grew tired of the dragon's tyranny and rebelled. They called forth powerful beings from other realms and other planes to aid them, causing the destruction of the once mighty draconic kingdoms. The dragons that still remain chose to either keep to themselves, go into hiding, or attempt to blend in with the humanid races that began to take their place
The dragons of the metallic empire, however, were eventually able to regain power in the west of Redbane, re-establishing the last draconic kingdom still in existence.
