Early Life
Siddas Goldgrog enjoyed a comfortable upbringing, being born as the fourth son to a prominent Dwarven family in Ironhoof. Unfortunately, having had none of the responsibilities of his older brothers who were expected to lead the clan, Siddas quickly became bored with his unexciting life and surrounded himself with books and bards to entertain him with rare and nearly-lost knowledge of pre-calamity Dwarven culture.
Enamoured by the great tales of adventure, heroism and craftsmanship of Dwarves, Siddas left his home to strike out as an Archeologist, Artisan and Gentleman. Never having faced any actual hardship however, he struggled with most quests of significance and quickly found out he was far more adept at regaling the tales of his exploits rather than actually performing them.
With the embellishments of his tales adding up over time, he became considered an adventurer of far more skill than he actually possessed, so much so that other adventuring teams declined his requests to join because they believed they were not worthy of his skill.
Adventure Calls
Though not quite above enjoying the benefits his renown brought him, Siddas was still saddened by his lack of actual adventure and unearthing of old Dwarven Artifacts. And so, he came up with a plan, Siddas would travel to Jeb'blep to find companions among the heroes there. Unfortunately for Siddas, he was rebuffed at every turn by adventurers of superior skill, and he had nearly given up until the world shook and Lord Nathrezim showed his true colors.
As the fight against Lord Nathrezim broke out, Siddas spied among the heroes fighting him,
Vryka Gemsong, towering and with skin of stone, like from the most ancient of Dwarven texts and tablets in his family's possessions. Though he was too busy running for his life at the time to truly register it, it wasn't until he found her again after the fight was won, talking to a small gnome with a pencil moustache that it struck him. More convinced of it than he knows the sky to be blue, this Vryka would embody the ideal Dwarven adventurer he idolized, and he had found his life's purpose.
The Great Korthian Bake-off
Still considering on how he would approach this vryka, and even under normal circumstances, Siddas "Sid" Goldgrog would be dumbfounded by the appearance of an Avatar of Death, who was subsequently challenged by the
dark-skinned, fiery woman next to Vryka to a Bake-off. However, when Vryka pulled out her own cook's utensils to support Dante, Siddas didn't hesitate. Pulling out his lute, he played a solo to support one of the finest displays of baking the world had seen in a long time, as the Avatar of Death was forced to admit defeat and was pulled back into the dark portal he came from.
