The Barren Peninsula

The Barren Peninsula is a region spanning a part of the east coast of Aurleen. It is located north from Pelastus Valta and south of Mogarath's Domain. The land in Mogarath's Domain used to be part of The Barren Peninsula until recently. The region is aptly named after its landscape: barren. Most trees are dead or dying and there always seems to have a gloomy feel in the air.

Locals (mostly Orcs though) call the region Sandashul Kondzor meaning Blessed Sanctuary in Orcish, because of course Orcs would think of such a wasteland as being blessed. It must be noted that the Black Orcs do not originally come from The Barren Peninsula, as is mentioned in the work about Orcs written by an unknown scholar.
