Asha of Brillbrook
pronouns: she/they
Personality
Asha is a rebel. She has her own sense of justice, and she does not deal well with authority. No one will tell her how to feel, and no one will make her do something she doesn’t want to do. She struggles with being part of a team because she is used to going at it alone. As a Seeker, however, she is starting to see the benefit of someone else having her back.
Asha was raised to be a fierce believer in Ziva, but though she knows all the religious stories, prayers, and songs, she isn’t particularly devoted. In spite of her upbringing, Asha treats laws more as guidelines to keep society in check and certainly doesn’t see herself subject to these laws.
Asha is independent, well-spoken, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. She can be arrogant at times, but has good reason to be confident in her abilities. She has a soft spot for those oppressed by the government and the Temple.

Personal History
When Asha was just a child, her parents both died of illness. Asha's older brother, Jeromi, left her with the Temple of Ziva, where she fell into the hands of the Sect. The Sect was a secretive organization within the Temple that trained Asha as an assassin, instructing her to take out political rivals and foreign adversaries and to collect intelligence. Asha underwent an extremely demanding training that turned her into a living weapon.
After this training, Asha's difficulty following orders found her frequently at odds with her superiors. If a mission didn't sit well with her, Asha outright refused. Eventually, she was able to escape from the Sect and make its existence known to those who worked to take it down. Restless and with no seeming purpose, Asha used her considerable skills to steal money and resources from the wealthy and powerful and gave what she could to the poorest residents of the city. After the Darkness returned, she found a way to continue using her talents for good by joining the Seekers' Guild.
