Khor is a young revenant that was originally commissioned by the Seekers' Guild. Like all revenants, they have no memories of their former life. They have always been very curious but are also content with the life they’ve been given. The lives of all living creatures fascinate Khor–whether they be animal, human, orc, plant, etc. Khor often ruminates on the existence of a soul. What it means. What it is made of. They enjoy studying life in all of its forms.

On Khor’s first venture into the Darkness as a Seeker, they were overwhelmed by the power of it. Khor felt as if their every emotion–every sadness, every delight–was deadened, despite their kinfire core. It was in this moment that Khor noticed a glow in the Darkness coming closer and closer. A kinfire mothling, struggling to stay aloft, landed upon their shoulder.

Khor spoke to the mothling gently, whispering soft words and encouragement. The mothling lit up, feeding off of Khor’s kinfire energy, and, in that moment, a bond was formed. To this day, the two are inseparable. Flickers, as Khor's mothling is known, follows them wherever they go, glowing intensely whenever a Starless Night is near.

Personality

Khor is curious about the world just as a child would be. They seek to understand the nature of life and the connection between all living things. Khor is friendly and harbors no ill feelings towards other beings unless they try to harm their friends or companions. Khor is most often mellow and easy going, having a love for humor and, in particular, puns. Their protective nature, however, can lead them to display a controlled and righteous anger.

Physical Description

Khor has a massive physical presence, reaching taller than any of his fellow Seekers. They have a broad chest that glows with the light of their kinfire core within. Their body is constructed of a particular blend of very rare metals used in the creation of revenants. Apparel & Accessories

Most often, Khor can be found without any apparel at all, but on occasion and while traveling, they wear a shawl and carry a satchel, which Flickers can be found cuddling inside.

Specialized Equipment

Since, like all revenants, Khor is powered by a kinfire core, they have no need for a kinfire lantern. Instead, their core protects them in the Darkness and also allows them to draw upon its magical energy.

Special Abilities

Khor's massive size and lack of organic body parts gives them great strength and resilience. Their kinfire core also gives them access to magical energy. They are especially talented at the use of earth magic, which involves manipulating the very ground beneath them.

Personal History

Khor is a revenant, a metal shell imbued with a departed soul, who retains no memories of their past life. They have always been curious about their life and frequently wonder about who they once were. There are times when certain things, places or objects, seem familiar to Khor. But they have no sense of what these things meant to them in their former life.

Khor was created by the Scholars' Circle and has, ever since they first awakened, been curious, enthusiastic, and unafraid. For their first several years, they spent time in the Scholars' Circle, assisting scholars and indulging their own curiosities through study and experimentation. A few of their experiments, however, led to quite a bit of property damage and it was deemed best that Khor find another line of work.

Khor went on to explore a variety of duties around the city of Din'Lux until they found themselves accepted into the Seekers' Guild. It was a new experience for Khor. Instead of assistant, caretaker, or apprentice, they were now part of a team. Khor found that, for once, they could contribute and use their skills and strength in a way that truly made a difference. Once they joined the Seekers' Guild, Khor began to feel a sense of belonging. They began to discover who they really were so that they could finally forge their own identity.
