Kirrogora of the Tuskrippers
pronouns: she/her
Kirrogora of the Tuskrippers was once a captain among the Moonsickle Company, a massive fleet of smuggling ships that provided weapons and other supplies during the Great War. The Tuskripper name is well-known and respected among the Moonsickle Company. Kirrogora's daughter, Naya of the Tuskrippers, was the commander of the company before the return of the Starless Nights. And Kirrogora's son, Vath of the Tuskrippers, was the orchestrator of the coup that removed Hierophant Selen as the leader of Din'Lux.
When Din'Lux chose the members of the First Expedition, the very first group to venture out into the Darkness, Kirrogora was elected as one of the chosen. Although her son Vath wanted her to stay behind, Kirrogora chose to fulfill her duty and join the expedition. Some believed that she was selected as a political move and an attack on Vath.
THE MOONSICKLE COMPANY
When the orcs of the Moonsickle Company sensed the coming of a great storm, they took refuge in the city of Din’Lux. Despite their warnings to the City Council, the city did little to prepare.
Kirrogora’s son, Vath, was also a prominent member of the Moonsickle Company. When the Starless Nights arrived and chaos filled the city, he called for a coup. Naya, his sister, refused—claiming that peace was the way to protect their people. Vath, along with many of the Moonsickle crew members, defied Naya and went forward with the coup, wrestling control of the City Council from the Hierophant. In the chaos of the attack, Naya lost her life.
Kirrogora blamed Vath for the loss of her daughter and refused to see him for many months. Despite her grief and anger, she encouraged her fellow members of the Moonsickle Company to support Vath's leadership. It was necessary, she said, for there to be peace in order for the city to survive.
Personality
While her son Vath is often impulsive and quick to use violence, Kirrogora is a skilled and patient diplomat. She was seen by her crew as a wise and thoughtful leader and is highly respected among the Moonsickle Company. She can be quite ruthless, but only when the situation calls for it. She is fiercely loyal to the Company, who is like a family to her.
Kirrogora's wisdom comes from her travels throughout Atios. Her exploits as part of the Moonsickle Company have taker her across the world, where has she has seen wonders both inspiring and terrifying. Negotiating with suppliers has also taught her a sense of diplomacy, while her confrontations with competing smugglers has led to a fiercely competitive nature.
As a captain, Kirrogora was strict with her crew. She demanded discipline and loyalty and dealt harsh words to anyone who fell out of line. She was, however, fair-minded and treated each of her crew as she would her own child. As she grew older, there were some whispers that she’d lost her grit and grown too soft. For some, these words proved true when she seemed no longer able to control her own children.
