Ziva

Ziva is a goddess worshipped by mostly elven followers in Atios. She is most widely known in the region of the Luminated Alliance, which based much of its government and culture upon her worship.

Members of her church, known as the Temple of Ziva, believe that she is the creator of Atios and that the elves are her chosen people. Much of their lore is centered on the belief that when the Starless Nights struck three thousand years ago, it was Ziva who brought the gift of kinfire to the elves.

A number of texts regarding the history of Ziva are known to still exist within the walls of Din'Lux. They are, however, carefully guarded by Flame Keepers and only a small number of priests are permitted to read them.

Some former Flame Keepers, who have left the church, claim that Ziva was a mortal being, an elf who resided in Atios many thousand years ago. Most, however, dismiss these claims as spiteful rumors.
