Nettle's Crossing

Not long ago, a retired engineer names Davik Nettles built and ran a simple but profitable toll bridge across a narrow stretch of the Shrike River. When the Stag Lord demanded that Davik allow his bandits across the river without a toll, Davik refused. The Stag Lord's bandits killed Davik and cut the ropes on his bridge. Now Nettles Crossing is little more than a well anchored, if worn, rope and a burned out toll takers hut.
