Sootscale Kobolds

The Sootscale Kobolds are a group of black scaled kobolds that live in an abandoned silver mine. Recently, they have started raiding human camps out in the wilderness. They raided the Thorn River Bandits and stole Svetlana's wedding ring.
The kobolds are led by Chief Gerik, and are currently warring with the nearby mite colony in the roots of the old Sycamore. The mites stole Old Sharptooth, the idol of the kobolds god along with the many offerings the kobolds had given it. Chief Gerik has agreed to let the party search the offerings for Svetlana's wedding ring if they steal Old Sharptooth back from the Mites.
Recently, a new kobold with purple scales, named Tartuk, has joined the Stootscale Kobolds. He has been pushing them to raid further from their home and steal more treasure for Old Sharptooth. While the chiefs warriors are far from home, Tartuk has been steadily convincing the kobolds that remained to follow him over the chief. When the Silver Dicks returned Old Sharptooth to the sootscales and offered to let them move into an abandoned fort up north, Tartuk declared that heresy and attacked the Silver Dicks. He and his most devout followers were slain and it was revealed that Tartuk was actually a gnome all along.
