I like the idea that there's a district that's demanded to be kid-/family-friendly. Feels realistic to me, like something Vegas would do (or has done?). I also really like the touch about suppressing fertility and venereal diseases. Makes me wonder how those technologies might be used elsewhere in the world, and if the fertility suppression technology might be reverse-engineered to help infertile folks elsewhere.
You know…the last line….
I do have a lineup of sterile demihumans in my species folder (as humans are based on reverse engineering elves into short lived mating joyful planet refillers, their creator called ‚humans‘ one issue was present. Humans were engineered omnicompatible, but any hybrid other than half-elves appeared completely and fully infertile)
I don’t think that this is a high priority project, especially as the developer of the drug, Noctec, is not interested in that (noctec‘s ceo, the goddess Notitia, is actually the creator of humankind)

The Stardistrict is my favorite. The idea of a "One stop shop" marketplace is a great idea. So many opportunities for criminal and governmental factions doing horrible things to ensure control over access.
So Gemenskap was your pleasure town from Summer Camp. Cool. When I think of mine, which now also made it back into the One Shot as a stopover, yours is clearly friendlier. Much friendlier. Anyway, I like the concept very much and the fact that the town belongs to a god, so to speak, moreover to this god, is somehow funny.
I find it very interesting that there is still a functioning protection of the young (especially during visiting hours of strangers) and that it is not only red light, but also trade and cultural/spiritual pleasure.
What I like best, however, is the reversed lifestyle. I just think it's plausible that such things happen when the other is so commonplace, i.e. that the "spiritual" and "personal" take on a much greater value than the "physical". In that sense, a really nice article ^^.
I am glad you like the reversed lifestyle concept. As you said it felt naturally in such a fairly self-containing environment to shift their values accordingly. c:

I love all that backstory! I definitely need to explore this world even more.
