Rulers of Travance

Diplomatic action

Travance has gone through many, many rules during its time in existence. Below is a loose accounting of whom rules and for how long.

The first Baron Jonathon Travance was a common Bounty Hunter who discovered the way to cross the rift and was granted these lands by the King of Kormyre. Within a year after his arrival he disappeared   Many months later a Knight named Cowain was lorded stewardship over the lands however after all of three weeks he was slain in the night by assassins.   Many months later Duke Loric D’More came and brought order to Travance for almost a full year, after which himself mysteriously disappeared.   The very Next month Klarington Everest was sent to Travance by the King to take over as Baron. He ruled successfully for a year before he was slain by the vampire Lord Pesmerga.   In Baron Everest’s will he left the land to the Lord of Alisandria Garrison Corven a Paladin who died slaying the “Dark Rider” many months after protecting the lands from total destruction at the mythical creatures hands.   The next month Baron Klarington Everest was brought back to life by the aid of Mythrien Dragonsong, lord of Alisandria. Baron Everest rules for another full year before being killed in his sleep in the inn by the Lord of Dreaga’Mire Orias Wormwood.   The next month the King sent Duncan Inverness to govern until the reading of Baron Everest’s Will. Baron Everest’s Will named the successor as Sabastion Everest his son… however no one had ever heard of the Baron having a son. The King then decided to Place Duncan Inverness in place as Baron of Travance and he ruled for two years.   After the second year of Baron Inverness, Sebastian Everest was found to be a denizen of the Plane of Fire and was summoned to Travance by Vardimus the Sorcerer. Sebastian Everest rules Travance as Baron for Three years before being promoted to Count of Winterdark and Earl of the Marches.   When Sebastion leaves Travance William Montgomery becomes Baron of Travance and rules for two years. Baron Montgomery becomes cursed with Lycanthropy and abdicates silently.   Myxolidia Heartwood becomes Baroness for several years before being taken by the Lorestri.   Upon her disappearance, Victor Sylus becomes Baron of Travance. Baron Sylus serves for several years before being sent on an important mission and has not been seen since.   Upon the Baron Sylus's disappearance, Count Sebastian Everest of Winterdark declares martial law on Travance and rules it in place of instituting a new Baron. Several years later it is learned that the King of Kormyre has died a tragic death, and Count Everest has been ruling the Kingdom secretly in his stead in order to prevent her allies from taking advantage of Kormyre in its time of weakness. Count Sebastian Everest is currently ruling Travance and the Kingdom of Kormyre.
