Bawler's Board

The Bawler Board exists anywhere a bawler  does. It’s usually a simple wooden or cork board, sheltered from the rain by a small awning. Next to the board is the bawler’s station: a small table and accompanying stool on one side and on the other a platform for the bawler to gain height over any crowd that may have formed, from which they will shout any outstanding open offers of employment. From behind the table, the bawler  will take and negotiate contracts.   Contracts that wind up on the board are there until they are completed. Bawlers guarantee success, and are expected to risk ruin or even death to complete them if necessary.
